We are all about nature! MEC started out as a Marine Research Institute in 1955 and have since then broadly extended their research and education activities! On Curaçao they actively manage three national parks: The Christoffel National Park, Shete Boka National Park and The Curaçao Marine Park, where they protect the reef and conduct scientific marine research to make a difference in restoring our coral reef. Through their educational programs and activities they strive to engage the local youth with nature and all of its beauty.
