Our Association of Museums & Heritage of Curaçao represents a lot of institutions across diverse geographical landscapes, including historical museums, galleries of modern creativity, architectural masterpieces, and hidden gems that tell the story of life, historical events, and evolving societies.

From the Hato Caves’ ancient secrets to the vitality of local heritage festivals, our goal is to make these treasures accessible to all-inviting generations to come to discover and cherish the stories that built this vibrant mosaic.
Our Board Members

President: Zhwendeline Pieter
Zhwendeline Pieter, is the co-founder and Curator at Vikto Bartholomeus Museum, a family-owned open-air museum located on the site of Cultural Icon, Sir Vikto Bartholomeus’ former home in Sta Cruz, Curaçao.
As a visual artist and heritage professional, Zhwendeline is dedicated to preserving the island’s cultural heritage while spearheading impactful initiatives.

Secretary: Thamara Vervuurt
Thamara Vervuurt is the director and curator at the Mongui Maduro Museum, an exhibition of the fascinating story of the Sephardic Jewish Levy Maduro family, a tale filled with passion, determination and an enduring legacy; located in the historic Rooi Catootje plantation house.
With a passion for culture and heritage, Thamara plays a crucial role in preserving and presenting the heritage of Curaçao.

Treasurer: Renata Klasson
Renata Klasson is the Collection Manager at the Jewish Museum Curaçao. Housed in two historic Jewish buildings, the previous residence of the community’s Rabbi and the ritual bath house, the Jewish museum preserves and displays the history of Jewish community on Curaçao
Renata combines her passion for Jewish culture with her background to help preserve the Jewish Heritage.
